Highs, Lows and Heavenly Blows

Today has been both shit and exhilarating in equal measures. Most of has been silent internal anger at the shoddy and mis-informed treatment of a colleague which I feel has devalued us all. I'm also in my third week of major fire fighting. One project has slipped because I can't get around to doing it and all my important regular work is suffering. My load isn't lightened by the fact I am also having to salvage the poor quality crap sent to me by people who are paid more than me and who should know better, just to make it vaguely interesting and presentable.

I'm at the stage where I can barely contain the anger, it feels like something is going to give, the only question is when and how loud the bang will be. But I know it will just be my head, a brick wall and a constant hammering sound so I continue to bottle it up. Is it worth it I ask myself? Probably not is the reply.

Then this evening I get home and spill a cup of tea everywhere, missing poor Elis by millimetres (thank God.) Everything is running late and I know I'm not going to get to bed in the near future despite the fact I should have been there an hour ago. What?s more I know when I get there I won?t sleep because all this rage is bubbling up in my over-active brain.

The exhilaration has come from the fact that I think maybe I will just stick my arse in the wind and say something for once. The truth is that this is it though ? no one will give a fuck and I should just keep my head down and carrying earning that lovely dough that I rely on so much. Luckily, loosing my job is not the threat it once was ? I?m sure I could do better on my own anyway ? anything to get away from the dishonesty, stupidity, egoism, small mindedness, incompetence, double standards, bullshit and back stabbing. A nice story ? make sure you hover over the picture of Llandaff Cathedral to see who supplied it. BBC NEWS | Wales | South East Wales | Skeletons found at cathedral It looks good on the CV if nothing else!

Further more a number of Ebay bargains turned up today after I feared them lost in the postal strike backlog. Three (now getting rare) CDs from age old favourites of mine. Sonic Boom and Loop. Tidy ? they were a steal. I?ve seen them sell for three times what I paid for them.
