Firstly RR suffered an attempted hack at hers, followed by Stuart Hughes suffering a potentially Blog ending hack attack and disclosure of personal info at his.
Now just to top it all ever reliable Badly Dubbed Boy has managed to bork his entire blog database, losing 4 years of posting in the process unless he goes back and manually fixes it by cutting and pasting from the basic HTML.
Touch wood I've got a permanent back-up here on my new server (for those of you who've noticed) and have never done something to offend a hacker anywhere. *Crosses Fingers*

"ever reliable"? That's slander and I'll have you for that!
Anyway, it's not four years, but four months. And I've lost my entire linksblog as well. Now does anybody have a good HTML scraper that can help me reimport everything?
Oops - thought I heard you say years. No idea on a good html scraper. :(
Why do they do it???? Took me ages to delete multiple spam comments too. Previously they had only tried to comment on archived posts so I had to go into each and take off the permission to comment but this time they were bang up to date. Annoying little beggers. Sorry about your database BDB
How does one know if your blog is being hacked?
I get sent an email everytime someone tries. I think it's generated by my blog host (Grey Matter). There is an option in the security bit of the main confirguration templates.
