And the weeks almost over, and I'm knackered and have a dicky back for the umpteenth time this year. Shagged in fact. Elis was up early and I've spent the week having late nights furthering my megalomaniacal plan of web domination figuring how to get Shazza Bates' excel Chav and Posh Tests online. I finally got there after lots of fiddling with the output of the simple but useful PHPQuest quiz generator.
So, ask yourself. Is you a Chav or is one Posh?. My results are below...
One is 13% Posh! |
Take The Posh Test

I's 63% Chav! |
Take The Chavs Test

Well, I took the posh test and came back with 43% but when I tried to take the Chavs test (is this the equivalent of a "red kneck" in the states?) I couldn't understand any of the references so I didn't finish it.
Some examples:
Burberry check
Ciro Citterio
pot noodle
Stenaline Ferry
own brand baked beans
prefer Carling to Stella
consider Jordan to be "actually quite intelligent"?
boiled sweet
been on "Trisha"?
Footballers Wives?
etc.
I have a feeling I'd be a healthy 55% Chavs if I understood the references.
Also, not sure why but your page is taking a reeeaaaalllly long time to load today.
Oh yah, I have a question for you. Awhile ago you posted a comment directly to an area of one of Holly's photos in Flickr. How'd ya do that? (I think it was a stuffed monkey, and if you hovered over it, there was a callout box with your comments)
As for the flickr thing - if you are signed in then its just a case of pressing the Add Note button to the top left of the picture - Have a look here.
You just then drag the box to the size and position you want and leave a note.
As for the other stuff. Its a very UK quiz. I suppose the closest thing I could think of in the states is Trailer Park Trash. Not quite a redneck, but not far off...
As for the rest.
Burburry Check: Expensive clothes with a ghastly pattern, favoured as a status symbol by Chavs...
Ciro Citterio - Suit shop
Pot Noodle - cheap noodle snack
Stenaline Ferry - Cheap ferries, like the one you got to Ireland from Holyhead, favoured for booze cruises to cheaper Europe.
own brand baked beans - Cheap
prefer Carling to Stella - Miller to Heiniken Export
consider Jordan to be "actually quite intelligent"? - Big breasted topless model, thick as a pig's ear.
boiled sweet - Hard Candy
been on "Trisha"? UKs answer to Jerry Springer
Footballers Wives? Cheap and nasty TV 'drama'
Hope that helped... ;)
Whew, that was a lot of questions - only had time to do the Chav one because the dog is nagging me to take him for a walk.
I suspect that it is weighted heavily in favour of being a Chav - which I suppose is what you would expect on chavmum. Since when has calling a sofa a 'settee' been Chav-like? Doesn't that just go with the territory in this part of Wales?
That was good fun, though, and I came out at 46% Chav. Although I reckon I'm probably just about the furthest from Chav-dom as you can get.
That's a great site, by the way - very funny.
Roger, funily enough I had a conversation with a colleague who complained that many of the questions were quite normal for Wales. I can only deduce that we are truly a chavvy nation ;)
I didn't write it by the way, its one of those things that just gets emailed around.
