Look Folks! You-Don't-NEED-IT

Something I think most intelligent non-believers would already know, but no one else is ever listening as they're all too busy being bad whilst feeling justified about it thanks to their mystical spirits in the sky.

Good catch - an interesting and laughable read: "He said that most Western nations would become more religious only if the theory of evolution could be overturned and the existence of God scientifically proven."

No shit. Ya think??? ROFL!

Frankly I think we are all in the shit, and GREED is the biggest detriment to society.

But how can one really compare my behemoth USA with UK or even ... ROFLMAO again ... Scandianvia!?!?

Again I think we are all f**ked unless we find more HEART! If god really wants to live there he'd better send someone soon with some bloody rent!

This Times article mirrors an article I posted on my blog awhile back from Harpers called "The Christian Paradox" http://www.harpers.org/ExcerptTheChristianParadox.html.

There were blanket statements in the Times article that pissed me off though, for example, "the majority believes in a creator rather than the theory of evolution"...

who is this majority? Everyone I knows believes in evolution, granted, some may believe a supreme being played a part in evolution, but they still believe in evolution.

All this crap about teaching Creationism or "Intelligent Design" in our schools just makes us look like a country full of ignorant hicks.

I mean, they take a poll of 2,000 people (from a nation of nearly 300 million) and then say 2/3s of us don't believe in evolution, or whatever....grrrr

I still believe that the root of all evil is poverty (mixed with lax gun laws in the case of the US), so I find it ironic that so many christians miss the fact that practically all jesus ever talked about was love and taking care of the poor.

I get so weary of seeing how the rest of the world views my country. I love the US, there are so many really cool, smart people who live here. Seriously.
