Real Cool Time

Life's whizzing by me at great speed at present. 30th June is when I finish my current position after 6 years. I'm working flat out to get as many web ends tied up as possible whilst still tripping over new sites as they strike me to do them.

I have lots to sort out - I'm in the process as setting up as a sole trader and running my own multimedia business, once I'm free of the BBC shackles. The kitchen is still unfinished, so I'm having to do bits of that as and when I can. My web empire needs lots of sorting out, and I've still not got a simple project I'd intended to get done out the way. It's a bit potty to say the least.

I made the mistake of looking at YouTube at the weekend, and amazed myself at how much rare stuff they got on there in a musical sense. Lots of bands I've only known on audio with actual videos and stuff. I couldn't help myself, and after a little jiggery pokery, stealing its name from a Stooges track, Real Cool Time is born.

It' a bit of a vanity project, and my forum for celebrating and sharing my thoughts on the music I love. I also wanted to try making the most of the newish embeddable player technologies places like YouTube and Google offer. As to whether anyone's interested in what I'm going to be publishing there, who knows! It's very much something to keep me happy and in touch with one of my favourite subject areas - Music.
