>> Return to the Web Fun Index
Well, here's me posting again after almost a half a year's break from the old web fun. Happy New Year to anyone still dropping by on the off chance I posted. Part of the reason I haven't posted was the fact the site was not showing up for people on BT powered connections, self included. I finally got around to moving the site to a new server and that seems to have cured the problem. So now I can actually see the site I can feel guilty for not having done anything to it.
I've also been really busy, not just a little busy, but non-stop 24 hours a day busy, albeit in a slovenly kind of way. Here's a few highlights from the last few months. As well as running Day Trip Media all by my ownsome (until March when I take on a full time employee) I've also been busy setting up not just one, but two limited companies, both of which will be ongoing businesses alongside my sole trader work. Bingo Head LTD is based solely around my bingo work, and will be a bit different to what I'm doing now as it's eventually going to be up for sale when its reached a certain level of earnings.
The other company is a joint venture with my good friend Nursey, we're hell bent on making a low budget horror film, with money pimped from investors in my other work sphere. We've set up Dogs Of Annwn LTD as our film production company and are currently looking at a joint venture with another film company and hope to make our first feature by the summer. Both companies are in their early stages and I've got all the fun around setting up bank accounts, sorting out paperwork and that do, alongside the sheer mountainous amount of work I have to do as Day Trip Media, hence the need for a full time employee.
I have been taking photos in all that time too, as well as launching web sites to do with Blu-ray players and HD camcorders. I still have a load of shots from the summer (last summer, yipes!) to feature on here too. I'll try and stick some more up shortly. At the moment I've got a load of Macs to sort out, I've upgraded my iMac to a newer model so the employee can have the old one. I also plumped for a bargain Macbook Air, which I mistakenly reinstall following some faff with my other iMac. The iMac was the problem, not the air. Oh dear. Don't believe that 'It just works' hype for one second.
So yeah, lots going on, really only just scratched the surface, but I want to stay sane and do the stuff here I used to enjoy doing, so now I've broken the big break, maybe I can get back to boring people here too.
